Great Food! This bar has consistently had good food for years. From the homemade mac and cheese to the vegan BLT. Good atmosphere and the music in the juke box is great.
Best fries in the city Royal Tavern's french fries are my top reason for going to this cool neighborhood bar but they also have a pretty cool decor. The lighting's just dark enough, the juke box plays some good stuff and the staff's IPods usually play even better music. Brunch is always excellent and they've started serving lunch this past spring.

As they keep changing the menu, it's starting to get a on the verge of too expensive, but still the sandwiches and salads are great and reasonable. It can be loud, but the jukebox is good. They have brunch too,, but it does smell like the morning after then...
My favortite bar in the city Royal's decor, music, customer service, and food deserve a perfect 10. This cute bar on passyunk plays awesome music ( although they did get rid of the MCD's from their jukebox g r r r). The wait staff are always on their A game, despite how horrid customer service jobs can be, and the food is amazing for both vegetarians and carnivores. I highly recommend the tavern.
