Not too expensive, but dirty I stayed there when I first visited LA. It's very conveniently located, close to the UCLA campus. For the location it was inexpensive, but I guess you really get what you pay for - the place was pretty dirty. I actually saw a few roaches. It was also pretty loud but I believe they had construction going on during the time I stayed there.
