am very disappointed with my experience at Victoria royal Jubilee Hospital emergency. I waited 10 hours in the emergency department while feeling extremely weak and sick. After waiting that long, I was told I would need to wait another 2 hours. This is not acceptable when patients are already suffering and need urgent care. First off I want to say I know the nurses are under a lot of stress but this was not ok at all. Went to the er last night by ambulance but this isn’t about me. This lady approximately 90 who was in a wheelchair was asking for a nurse because she didn’t bring her meds with her when she went to the hospital and she needed to take them out a specific time or something happens to her. Go somewhere else. Trust me - they want you to as well. I have to support the many other 1 stars given in regard to the emergency room. So incredibly slow and inefficient. No protocols for immunosuppressed or compromised patients. Just lumped in with the rest of the cuts and bruises and covid patients. 8.5 hour wait times are true. They do not move patients thru the hospital, patients leave because the wait is so long. If they have a system, it is broken. This is one of the worst hospitals in British Columbia. Staff have no care of patients especially at night with night staff not doing there jobs nurses acting like doctors. These lazy nurses don't deserve anymore money until they straighten out the mess that these spoiled nurses have caused. The Royal Jubilee burn ward is a great burn unit but I think some or there nurses need to be reviewed I was given Salisbury steak for 7 days straight wasn't ask what or if I wanted to eat very unorganized.
