Went there last month with severe non-stop stomachache for 24 hours, second time of the week. I waited 7 hours so they could read my blood test, said it was a bacteria infection and sent me home to take Panadol and sleep. A day after that I went to have an ultrasound elsewhere and found that I had gallstones in my bladder and the wall of my bladder were not good. It was very busy last night, and is really unfortunate healthcare workers are underpaid and hospitals are understaffed to meet demand. However, the staff here are very professional and compassionate. Nurses Ella and Kelly are phenomenal and I thank them greatly for their assistance.
This was my first visit to the RAH, and unfortunately, it was a frustrating and stressful experience. The car park was incredibly difficult to navigate. Poor signage and a confusing layout only added to the stress of the visit. Finding an entrance or a parking machine felt like a scavenger hunt — not what you need when trying to get to the emergency department.
