Very abusive to me during my pre-teen years. Everyone was 16+ and I was just 12. I just went through a very traumatic event that prevented me from talking a lot. Due to that they just kept telling me I had autisum , and saying who I was when I wasn’t. making me have identity issues. Due to me not talking they gave me the counselor in training and she just made me clean.

Our son was really struggling and it felt like our only options were hospitalization or zoom therapy, which was not helpful at all. Kaiser found ROWI for us, as an elevated level of care that he needed. He spent several weeks doing the outpatient program and it was the best possible experience for him. It gave him a safe place to be, and the immersive program really helped to gently re-wire his negative thinking, and helped him find his joy and self worth. I should have written the review long time ago. My son went to ROWI in Encino for 3 month a year ago. He was going through a very tough time, dealing w depression, loneliness, he was lost and angry and has nowhere to go. Here my family was welcomed w open arms and hearts. They had 2-3 days a week therapy for my son, weekly therapy for us as a family, we’re always available to address any questions or concerns. It was very easy to communicate w Tanaz and other therapist. My son felt comfortable and very calm there. My family ... read more

They simply do not understand people with autism. I went there and had several breakdowns in the three weeks out of five weeks of the program that I made it through. Had a male psychiatrist that freaked and weirded me out. I literally tried to escape one day and they kicked me out the second time I tried to leave.

Awful. No real physical activity for teens, therefore, lack of dopamine and endorphins which helps a brain get rid of chemicals that make you feel stressed and anxious. My kid is 200% worse, any progress prior to going is gone and my kid can't make any decisions for themselves. Will keep your teen as long as possible or when the insurance stops paying. Lack of privacy. School counselor shared with me that my kid's response to questions when returning to school full time "felt like...almost brainwashed answers".
