This is for the ******, AL location. On January 18, 2022, we had sewage come through our downstairs toilet and tub. We called your company for the issue. We spent $4 to $5k on a grinder we purchased from your company about 4 years ago. It only made sense to call roto rooter. Chase came out and stayed for less than 10mins. I contacted my local Roto Rooter (***********) for a clogged kitchen drain on Sunday, January 30. I fully expected a surcharge because it was a weekend but when the plumber got to my home, he immediately quoted $550(!). When I balked, he lowered it to $450 right away which was still too much. He asked me how much I was willing to pay and, being put on the spot, I said $200. He called his manager on speakerphone (making sure the person on the other end of the line knew I was listening) and received approval for the $200. I sh... read more

TERRIBLE!!! Waitied around all day for a no show. Had I known how Atrocious the reviews were I would have never in 1 million years called them, a waste of my life. I want to charge them so I can get my life back

Believe all the negative reviews. I wish I had checked the review of roto rooters before I called them to my home. They overcharged me just to drain my sewer and take camera shots, and then tried to charge me an additional $630 to send me a copy of the shots they claimed they had taken. Then they gave me an outrageous quote for repairs, but I was lucky enough to check their reviews before engaging them to work on the repairs. They told us that they would be out to fix our backup between 8-12 then canceled the appontment at 10. i wish i know that they wern't coming at 5:30 when i made the appontment, i could have got someone else.

I had roto-rooter to come out to my home to change my sump pump. The technician told me that the cost of a sump pump would cost me $449.00. The whole job itself with labor will be around $800.00. I told him, could it be cheaper if I went and bought my own sump pump and he told me yes. He came back to my home two days later to install the pump & parts that I bought myself from *****s. Kyle is a blatant lazy liar. He serviced my apartment as a vendor for the complex where I reside for a clogged drain that has been an ongoing issue for my entire 3-year residency at this complex. On Jan 11, 2022, Kyle was sent to my apartment WITHOUT NOTICE from our rental office (separate issue) and was rude, did not introduce himself, and LIED stating that I ran the water repeatedly after he asked me several times not to run water as he removed the clog. misleading. There website says free estimate and when plumber showed up he wanted $330.00 to diagnose the issue. THAT IS NOT A FREE ESTIMATE. They use the free estimate as a scam to get in the door hoping the customer will relent and use their service. If they can't be honest about there policy then how can anyone trust that they will give them fair service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. ROTO-ROOTER IS A SCAM....

Rude and non compliant personnel: I had a blocked kitchen sink. I called rotorooter. Two guys showed up at the door. Both came in, they had no mask, no shoe covers and gloves. I asked them where are their masks, because when called at the rotorooter phone number, there is tape recorded message that they will wear a mask, shoe covers and gloves. they said they had one, but will not wear... This is against CDC guidlines.The person was incrediably rude, while talking to me. I will not recommend this company to anyone.
