Mr. I recently purchased a Chevy Sonic from Ross Downing Chevrolet in Hammond. It was a very easy buying experience, I found what I was looking for online, completed a pre qualifying application and simply went to the dealership and picked up the car. I was in and out of the dealership in less than 2 hours. The sales lady and the finance manger were very knowledgeable and all my questions and issues were resolved immediately. I recommend this dealership to anyone needing a new or preowned vehicle.
Excellent Service! Made new Camaro car purchase sales person Michael Grady, was very helpful and easy to get along with. The car purchase was painless and closing went very quick. Would give 5 stars for my purchase.
great dealership Ross Downing Chevrolet offers great vehicles at great prices. They are constantly running specials for trucks. We bought a truck from them at below invoice that they were advertising. It was a hassle free experience. They boasted in being a dealership that doesn't like to haggle. We went in, named our price from the special and was finished within an hour. It was the quickest car buying experience I have ever had.
BEWARE of Service Dept. Service dept is rude and trying to take advantage of young woman. My daughter and her lil child were traveling south of the Hammond area and broke down just south of this dealership in her 08" Chevorlet Aveo. at 5am Jan 5th. Ross Downing was the closest Chev Dealer. The car was taking there that morning. They told her they would call her when they knew something. What a terrible thing to do! LADIES! Do NOT trust this company. They completely took advantage of me. I had a friend that was a salesman there, so I went to him to buy a vehicle. The used car sales manager, Steve Olave, charged me $2,000 more than what my salesman and I discussed. My salesman had NO CLUE! Unfortunatly, because I was so trusting of my friend, I didn't think to question the paperwork and see the error until a month later. Ross Downing Chevrolet Inc does not honor their commitment I went in to see a pre-owned Yukon. The salesman was very nice and when I pointed out some deep scratches with a really bad touch up job I was told "no problem, we will get that fixed". I came in and purchased the vehicle even though the scratches were not yet fixed because I was assured by the Sales Manager, Steve Olave, that as I purchased it "in good faith" that they would make sure I was completely satisified with the vehicle before I took it home.
