When evaluating a sleep disorder, the first step is to do a comprehensive history and physical examination. You cannot focus solely on the sleep complaint. Associated medical conditions may also affect one's sleep. To this end, the center has all patients fill out an extensive questionnaire in advance of the first consultation. This greatly assists me in evaluating the patient on the first visit. Once the consultation has been completed I will have formulated a "game plan" for effectively diagnosing and managing the patient'... read more

In short, his ego prevented him from helping me. He doesn't like to listen, and I felt more like a client than a patient. I tried to write all my issues with Dr. Popper in detail, but this comment form won't let me write that much. I will just say he lead me on for months and made me do a ton of tests and then when I finally finished after months and hundreds of dollars, his office called me and said, 'Dr. Popper will see you for your snoring, or you can see your PCP for anything else.' But I don't have a snoring problem. I ... read more
Avoid this so called doctor. He is nasty, impatient, critical and not nice. He said i had a sleep disorder which would require a cpap machine.... went to another doctor and found out i dont have disorder. SPENT ALL THAT MONEY ON MACHINE FOR NOTHING !!
Great doctor, no communication if. I tried to get my prescription refilled, was not written properly, was written 1 to 2 a day when I take 2 then 1 and hour later. It sat on his desk for 4 days, he is closed today (Friday) and down to tonight's dose then I will be out for the weekend. This is not the first time this happened. Very Unhappy!!!
Dr. Popper was professional, personable, and recommended a course of treatment that set and achieved reasonable goals. I don't understand the negative comments about his character, or that of his staff. I had zero problems making appointments and wait times were typically short, as he doesn't overbook like so many other doctors. The sleep study tech, Duane, was also great.
I was a patient of Dr. Popper for about 10 years while I lived in soCal. He is thorough but processes his patients in and out of the office efficiently. I don't think I ever waited more than 20 minutes to be seen. He taught me about proper sleep habits and monitored my CPAP settings as needed.
IMPATIENT AND IN A HURRY AT APPOINTMENT
I have been struggling with moderate to severe RLS for over 40 years and have had little to no relief from other doctors I've seen. Dr. Popper met with me, reviewed my symptoms and prescribed the most current medication to target my RLS. Finally, after all these years, my RLS is completely under control and I feel like I have my life back. I am truly grateful to the knowledge and expertise of Dr. Popper, and the kindness of his office staff, they have changed my life!
Utilized a number I listed as an *EMERGENCY CONTACT* to call about some paperwork they were having an issue with so I cancelled my appointment before seeing the doctor, sadly. I had already filled out all the paperwork and confirmed my appointment before they contacted my emergency contact. They had my email address, phone number, etc. they could have used. Wholly inappropriate and does not inspire confidence in me that this office would protect my confidential information.
I had three doctors confirm to me this man committed a grave error, based on his laurels I am willing to believe it was an arrogant mistake, consultation with legal representative specializing in medicine confirmed that he came within an inch of a malpractice suit. My doctor referred me to Dr. Popper and would later relay to me his confusion at Dr. Popper's treatment. It took 14 messages over a two month period to get a callback, becausee is ostensibly the only real sleep center. He erroneously diagnosed me with RLS despite ... read more
