Have been going here for years. My parents also bring there animals to them never have I had a issue until now my cat was scratched in the face by another cat it started to look infected and my cat was acting off and crying so I called rome animal hospital I was told they couldn't see him till Wednesday. my mom took her cat here for years and had nothing but good things to say, so when I woke up this morning and noticed blood in my cats urine they were my first choice. however when they looked at her they told me her urinary tract was blocked and she needed a catheterization procedure that would be upwards of 2 grand. after getting a second opinion we found out that it's extremely rare for a female to get a full blockage like RAH were suggesting. 200$ later I have antibiotics and kitty that feels much better. RecommendedI went away for 5 days, first time leaving my boy with someone other then my son. The staff obviously took great care of him. We arrived home late Monday night due to traffic jams. I was crushed that I couldn't pick up my baby by 7pm. Beth must have contacted the manager Kimberly because around 8pm I got a call from her letting me know I could come get him. I was ecstatic!! My tears went from sad to Happy in seconds. Thank you so much Kimberly!!
They probably saved my dogs life after Lake Delta ignored issues with my dogs teeth. Five hours in surgery and a few less teeth I had a healthy and eventually happy Basset Hound. I recommend this place to anyone with a dog they go above and beyond to ensure your pet will be healthy.
I just want to say Thank You to the Rome Animal Hospital staff. I recently had an older female cat with ongoing health issues put to sleep, and everyone involved was very considerate. Mel was very diligent regarding my requests, as was the rest of the staff. This was followed up by a very thoughtful sympathy card. Thank you for making this difficult process easier. I also appreciate all of your help in giving my cat the best possible quality of life while she was going through her illness. Dawn Thompson
Always have had excellent care with our pets. With our most recent visit (Last goodbyes) they were very thoughtful and kind. The Ladies and Men here do an outstanding job.
I absolutely love these people! I haven’t come across one doctor or aide that wasn’t nice and considerate! They are pricey, but they let you know ahead of time how much things will cost and they don’t pressure you to get things done right away. They understand not everyone has money at the moment of an appointment so you can schedule whatever needs to be done whenever you can.
They charged me almost $600 to give my cat an IV and penicillin, these people are crooks they are nothing like my old vet Greystone, at least there they cared about the animals, all these people see is dollar signs and charge you as much as they can bc they know you are emotional and will pay anything so poor fluffy doesn't have to get put down
