Went for a Birthday Dinner 5/20/16 for my Girlfriend. Food was excellent. Would of given 5 stars but here are my exceptions. 1. Music was loud playing over head. 2. Ordered Rum and Coke(they have Pepsi ). 3. Waitress was very nice but needs more training. We had to ask for the specials. She was unaware if the trout was deboned or not. Best food I've had in a long time.

Have been to Roman Bistro many times and have always had great food and service. Today however this was not the case. After ordering an Irish Coffee with Jameson and getting a white liquid that smelled and tasted like a flavored vodka my husband took it back to the bar and asked the bartender to make another. The manager then came over and explained to me they always make Irish Coffee with Jameson and I just didn't know my whiskeys, not once but twice. I love the Bistro on Friday nights but it's the best when you walk in and the bartender knows exactly what you like, makes you feel welcome, and has good conversation with you. They always lose or get rid of the best ones.... Becca, Ashley, Billy, and now Dutch. Makes me want to find a new place where I feel welcome and know everyone's names. At least Christine is still there Hold on to the friendly ones please.

Can't say enough about the great dinner. Kenya, our server was so awesome and fun! She went out of her way to treat us first class. And kudos to the chef for the custom meal he made my dad and bringing back my favorite dish not currently offered on the menu!! �

As I said on Yelp: The food blew me away! I wasn't sure what to expect but it was outstanding, quality food. I got the pollo ala cuomo and my boyfriend had the osso bucco. My mouth waters even now just thinking about it. My mom got the salmon and my sister got the scallops and they raved about them as well. Also I had the stone cap Syrah which was a bright and delicious wine served in a big beautiful glass. I can't wait for the next occasion to go back! This place is not to be underestimated.

Really bad place. Waited 20 min and no one came to wait on us. Smart Alec and clueless waiters. Never again. Diners beware!!!!!!!

For those that will doubt this, I can say we have at least tried on our apart. No less than four separate times we have visited Roman Bistro. As we live in the Forest Hills, we would relish at the opportunity to have a casual dining space that offered solid food, beverage and service yet we are still stuck with the Roman Bistro.
