Jackie the lady at the front desk was rude and asked why I wanted a second. Opinion. The doctor refused to approve me to get a second opinion . Told me he would not approve a referral so I could get a second opinion and my dad died of cancer due to a misdiagnosis. I was told he could treat me there and that I didn’t need to go anywhere’ else . I am contacting the AMA.
There is no better gastroenterologist in Birmingham. He is persistent, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Malik will stick with you until he finds out your problem. Never hesitates to call on other specialists. Is very kind, knowledgeable and patient. He saved my daughter's life when other doctor's found nothing wrong with her.
He can be abrupt, has over several years time become arrogant. Can appear to be extremely polite but really just wants to rush on to the next patient who gets the same treatment.We patients do talk to each other about Dr.'s.Perhaps overbooking patients is the problem. He can be rude and condesending. I think he is knowledgible but there are too many nice and caring Dr.'s out there who are also intelligent, knowledgible, experienced to pick this one AND will patiently explain the diagnosis and treatment .
