WOW! I have been going to the Roost since the late 60's! Went last night, quality of food has gone downhill, quantity of food has gone down hill...........New York Strip Steak, wasn't a New York by any stretch of the imagination and my wife ordered the Margherita Flat Bread Pizza at the recommendation of the waitress, was barely any fixings on it, over cooked, dry and the crust was so hard she had to cut it off! We will not be back, they must have changed owners or something! Order Number 142958 on 12/20/2016 at 5:23 p.m. Ta... read more
Business response:
Hello Steven, I have just spoke with our kitchen manager in regards to your visit. Our oven temps/timers did need to be adjusted for pizzas and flat breads, which we both just completed. The New York steak is the only type of cut that we carry, although we will check the quality of our steaks thoroughly. All and all I want to thank you for letting us know about your experience. I wish that all reviews can be the best, although Steven we do not take a bad review lightly and use it to better our establishment. We value your lo... read more
Had two rum and cokes, tasted more like plain coke.
This place has been in business for years and that doesn't happen unless you're doing something right!! Great for families or just hanging at the bar to watch the game. Big menu selection. Lots of beers on tap too!! The last time I was there I had a burger and some wings. Very good. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. If you haven't been here in a while give it a try.
Good bar. Reserving tables for people that don't show up until well past game time is no bueno. Two tables in back were also marked reserved at 7:30 during a noon game...
Great atmosphere very reasonable drink prices and the staff was awesome. Will be returning there more often.
The drinks were extremely watered down...disappointed.
I have been going here most of my life. As a kid, my parents would say "You kids be good and we can get Roger's pizza." Close to 40 yrs later pizza still doesn't disappoint. I tell my friends from Chicago that the best Deep Dish is here.
We usually go up there on Sunday's for dinner and some drinks. We have always had great service there, with one exception, but overall I've always been happy with our server. This last time we went there our normal server was getting off and we had Jack for our server. Wow! What a great personality!! A great server also! Would love to see him on the bar side more often.
You don't want me to write a review. I wish the owner would message me and I'll give you my opinion of how my dining experience was last night. ;-(
