Caring and competent dentist Dr. Norling is a great choice for a dentist in the Sunnyvale/Los Altos/Mountain View area. With two kids in their late teens/early twenties, he has a fatherly or brotherly demeanor, and I've always felt comfortable in examinations. His work has been consistently good as well.
I have been his patient for more that 10 years and I have been very happy with the services he has provided me (Basic services such as cleaning, filling and crown -- no cosmetic) However, I could not say the same thing for his office manager, Zoe . Her interaction with me and my wife has always been dry, and non-inviting.
Dr Norling and his staff are awesome. I have never had such a good dentist and one that cares so much. He explains what he is doing throughout the procedure and tells you the ups and downs of what may be going on. You are therefore able to make an informed decision. His staff is wonderful, too. You walk in and they know you by name and make you feel very comfortable with very low stress levels. I've never had to wait long either.
Very nice staff and dentist, lacks high tech gadgets and new treatments.
We have been going to Dr Norling for over 15 years. He and his staff are thorough, professional, able to answer all questions, manage patient stress and anxiety effectively, and don't over recommend treatments. We highly recommend him.
I have a serious dentist phobia and I was so very nervous about seeing Dr. Norling for the first time. He quickly put me at ease with his wonderful "chairside" manor. His entire staff is always very pleasant and friendly. I still don't "enjoy" having to go to the dentist, but if I have to go, I will always go to Dr. Norling!
My family (mother, husband, and my children) have been seeing Dr. Norling for many years - including when my children were babies for their first visits a few years ago. We were referred to him by another family member, and we are so grateful. My entire family (including parents) have gone to Dr. Norling for years. He is extremely caring and skilled. He will continue to work on resolving a problem until the patient is pain-free - including follow-up visits if needed at no incremental cost. And he talks through all the options before proceeding with a procedure.
I have been using Dr. Norling for several years. I have been continuously happy with him and his entire staff. He's competent, gentle and patient with you. He does not recommend unnecessary treatment. I recommend him to all my friends.
