We needed a pet friendly hotel and choose this one. The night clerk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nice. Looks like many of the rooms are ungoing renovation, so they will be even better. It was quiet and there is a fridge and microwave in the room.

A five star rating, to me, means that the place was perfect for the purpose it serves. The Rodeway Inn at White's City exists to serve families going to Carlsbad Caverns. The Caverns are NOT in Carlsbad (30 miles away). You can see the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns from this motel. Staff was very friendly and informative. Room was clean with a large flat screen TV, microwave and small fridge. Short 5 minute drive up the hill to Carlsbad Caverns. A shell gas station that has no attendants and a restaurant that we did not try do to terrible reviews. So unless you want to drive 25 minutes to Carlsbad for beer and food or to eat out I suggest you just bring it with you. We made a last minute choice to stay at The Roadway Inn. Our original plan was to spend a few hours exploring Carlsbad Caverns and be back on the road. When my wife got sick, a second day was added. I'm not happy my wife is ill but I'm thrilled that we are here! The room is located just outside the entrance to the park, a short 15 minute drive and we are at the visitors center. Very near Carlsbad Caverns, no "lowlifes" around, just vacationing families. It was fun watching Mexican Freetail Bats catching moths near the outdoor lights!
I found the staff very courteous and very helpful. the room was clean and neat and it fulfilled all our needs that we had for the room. My grandson was happy that we got to use the pool, but was a little sad that the water park was closed.
Great hot water and good shower head. The room was clean . It had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee packets. I didn’t checkout breakfast. If you’re looking for a luxury resort, keep looking. If you’re looking for value and location, you’ve found it.
