Not a good feeling! I have to agree with most! Office is very improfessional. and money does seems to be the number 1 priority here! I knew When Dr. Mugol left I needed to leave as well. I moved back to my doctor in Arlington great and knows his stuff. Sadly it's an hour away but I'd rather travel to soemone who cares about the patient and not just $! then to pay money and feel nbody cares!
Excellent across the board My family has been going there for years and it is great to have their office in Centreville. The only family member that did not go there was my wife, but her doctor recently took a new job (wiht Rocky Run) so we are now all at the same place. The front office staff was OK, but over the last year has really started to become top notch. Dr. Markin is great! Also, we have had a few serious illnesses and Drs. Incompetent office staff I have been going to Rocky Run Family Medicine for 2 years now. I have never been remarkably satisfied there, and today was the clincher. Today, a very hot 94-degree day, I packed up my 6-week-old daughter and went for my appointment for a TB test. I am a new teacher, so I needed one for my new position. I arrived at the doctors office, and waited for 20 minutes, not a bad wait for that office. I proceeded to go to the back when I was called. Rocky Run medical and admin staff are great I have been seen by every doctor on staff in the past 8 years. They are all competent, caring and knowledgable. The admin staff are experienced and efficient despite the huge volume of patients seen by this office. The nursing staff is top notch. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Rocky Run Family Medicine, especially working with Dr. Mugol (who recently moved out of state). They need better education I have been a patient for many years. Recently they have changed over many of their doctors. They are not well informed. On 2 separate occassions they told me one thing about an ailment that was blatantly wrong. 1 i had to tell the PA she was wrong and she came back in and told ME suprisingley i was right. the other i went online and verified they were wrong. They use too many Physicial assistants that can't diagnose a hang nail.
Love Rocky Run... but stay away from Dr. Sherling. I have been a patient of Rocky Run Family Medicine every since I was little.. I just had my 20th birthday.. to give you an idea of how long I've been a patient. I always saw Dr. Carroll until he moved to North Carolina. He is a WONDERFUL doctor and I miss him dearly... Especially after my first experience today seeing a different doctor in the office. VERY hit or miss. Avoid the PA's if you can!! The PA's there are horrible! I was misdiagnosed or dismissed when I came in with an earache. The PA said that it wasn't anything to worry about, and would go away on its own. Well, 3 days later I came back with severe pain :( and the same ear infection, only worse. I'm all for not overusing antibiotics, but seriously, why make those who genuinely DO need them wait and suffer?? Also, as previously mentioned here, Dr. Sherling is a huge NO on my list. Rocky Run Family Medicine Doctor Needs Work I went to see Doctor Sherling and will never see her again. She has no bedside manner, and I could tell she felt uncomfortable dealing with what could be a very serious condition. Of course, I had some concerns and questions, but she didn't want to take the time with me to listen. She spent about 3 minutes with me, and by the time a went back to get my lab work I was in tears.
