The practice is a business as well as a doctor's office. they don't run on air. if you owe a copay or if you are self pay, pay your bills.. do you have a problem going out eating and paying for your meals. you signed a contract w/your ins to pay your copays when you chose your ins. wouldn't you want to get paid if you did a service... then what is the problem with paying your copays.. it doesn't say rockyrun FREE family medicine... those people need their pay checks just ... read more
Where is the negativity coming from? I have to disagree that "the PA's are awful". The two named in the post below may be, I don't know because I have never been treated by anyone in the practice except PA Leah Siegfried. She is absolutely great. I see her every 4-6 weeks due to very bad insomnia and anxiety. She discussed my medication with me from day one. I take Valium for the panic attacks and even though I only take it twice a week or so, we have talked about when I think I can be okay without it. The thing that struck ... read more
Receptionists need to be nicer Doctors leave this practice too often. There doesn't seem to be a good retention rate. Dr. Mugol was awesome, but he's long gone. Dr. Markin is good, too, but it's not likely I'll ever get to see her when I'm sick since I'd need to take what I could get. The major concern is that the office staff out front is unprofessional, rude, and uncaring. They really need to work on this at RRFM. A Good Medical Team I love my doctor's. After moving to Alabama for two years, I came back to Rocky Run and they are still doing great! There PA's are very knowledgeable and I have never had an issue with them. I can usually schedule an appointment for the same day and usually only wait 5-10 minutes to see a doctor. The staff is great and the Doctor's (and PA's!) are very intelligent.
Dr. Mugol is excellent I have been going to RR for several years and Dr. M is a very caring individual. He has made every effort to do what ever is needed to be sure my family is well cared for. We are very comfortable with his advice and care. I have had some unusual health issues and through patient persistence Dr. M has seen me through. The office staff is like all office staff everywhere, willing to help and pleasant. Occasionally a mistake is made but I also see them trying to fix things when and if this occurs. Reading these reviews have scared me... I just switched from Heritage Family Practice because Dr. Weaver recently left them and joined Rocky Run Family Practice. I have been going to her for several years and she is by all accounts, the Five-Star Doctor that everyone wants and needs. I just transfered my records, along with my 3 yr old son's, and I'm terrified that I may have made a mistake after reading these reviews about the practice. I will NOT tolerate any of the office staff being rude to me, or my son, so I hoping for... read more
Dr. Markin is wonderful, however getting an appointment is a nightmare The office is closed from 12 noon to 1:15 which is crazy. I have never heard of (sick appointments) it appears that only sick appointments are available on certain days, and it is a night mare to schedule a follow up appointment. Dr. Markin is among the best as far a caring doctor, she always finds the time to dedicate to her patience. Ok, but would not recommend. I really love the convenience and this is the main reason I stick with them. However I find the staff is very impersonal and the doctors have yet to actually look at my medical records. For example I had an alergic reaction to an antibiotic once a long time back and even though it is clearly written on their records, they always ask me, "Am I allergic to any medicine?" and, "Which one?". If I had children I would probably find another doctor as something like the above example could be a life/dea... read more
Doctors don't listen to what you have to say. Rocky Run used to be a great practice but all the kind, caring doctors have left (besides Dr. Markin). The new doctors couldn't care less and don't listen to you when you talk to them. I only use them for my husband and myself. I definitely wouldn't let my kids go there. But even so, it's time for us to get a new doctors practice.
