Good family care I have been going here for years and agree that the front desk does not give you a warm fuzzy but the care is very good. You can, and should have your own doctor who you see for most care and still have the convenience of having a number of doctors when getting seen is your number one concern.
I love Dr. Markin! I have been a patient at Rocky Run for the last 7 years. I see a lot of doctors and thus am very picky. Dr. Markin is always very patient and I never feel rushed. She is willing to stick with you until you are satisfied with the diagnosis and treatment and just has great bedside manor. I also like that they have a lab on sight so you don't have to make an extra stop. Also, I am always able to get an appointment for the same day if I am sick. Good Family Medicine Rocky Run Family Medicine offers medical care for all ages and has an array of doctors to choose from. They are located in a strip mall with a Giant grocery, so it's convinient to get your prescription filled after your visit. There's plenty of parking and for a sick visit, they get you in same day, but sometimes there's a long wait in the waiting room. They do have a small area with toys to keep little ones entertained during your wait, which is a plus.
They are Horrible - They Called My Cell Phone to Tell Me I Had Cancer! Up until Jan 2008, I had been a patient of Rocky Run's since they opened. They used to be so efficient and somewhat compassionate. Now they rush you in and out like cattle, don't really care about a person as an individual, and are cold and callous. I've been in numerous times where I would tell them a symptom or family history where they would look at my chart and if there wasn't room on the page, they wouldn't even write it down. Dr Mogul come back! My previous doctor had been Dr Mogul, so I saw Dr Shurlan for swelling & pain in my leg. Her bedside manner was non-existent and with no introduction. She was in the room about 3 minutes. I was sent for an ultrasound for clots and called the clinic the next day to speak to the doctor. A receptionist told me the doctor would call me later. Later, I received another call from the receptionist who told me the text was negative and I should take over the counter pain medication and stay off of my feet, but co... read more
Convienant Dr's Office This office is usually very accomodating when you are there for a sick visit. They can usually get you an appointment within hours of your call. For well visits, there is usually a few week wait which is not so great sometimes! The front desk staff can be very short with patients and not the friendliest but it's really the doctors that matter and they have been pretty good!

Happy with the office I have been going to Dr. Markin for years and think she is truly one of the most caring people I have met in my life. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to get through when I call early in the morning, but the staff is always very accomodating. I hear really nice things about Dr, Weaver, the new doctor, and plan to be with these doctors as long as they are in the area. Maggie, the head nurse, has always been wonderful also.
They don't answer the phone! I've been going to Rocky Run for many years because it is conveniently located from my home. I've never seen any doctor's office changing the doctors as frequently as Rocky Run. Some were good and some were bad. We all want to have our doctors stay long time but they miserably failed the long term relationship with the doctors and the patients. My biggest problem is that the office staff are unprofessional and getting them on the phone is almost impossible. THEY JUST DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!
