I was a patient for surgery that was canceled because of discovery of a heart condition that should have been known after extensive testing by a cardiologist.. That's not the hospitals fault. After the halting, I was not informed by the surgeon of the problem, he disappeared. The hospital lied to me about arranged care at their HCA hospital. I was sent to the hospital. They knew nothind about my situation and sat me in a lobby, half-naked for hours and I never saw a doctor or cardiologist. They moved me out of the way, lied ... read more

I had to go to the ER at Northside Hospital twice in the past 3 months. I can't brag enough about the experience........everyone was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The two doctors that saw me, were more than willing to discuss in detail, my condition. I understand that, at one time, this was not the case but what a turnaround. I'm so appreciative of the effort that the employees put forth to help patients who feel vulnerable and unsure. Their smiles are so welcome.

I was there at thier ER on 9/5/25 after a bad fall. I was  in so much pain.Could not stand on my own 2 feet & could not weight bear on the left side of the hip/leg. They knew this. The nurse asked the attending NP if an MRI should be ordered and he said no, just do an X-ray.They then came in and said nothing was broke, gave me a prescription for ibuprofen & discharged me. Before that tho,I told them something wasn’t right, it feels like I have fractured the pelvis & NP insisted no fractures and no breaks. That maybe a bruise... read more

It has taken this long to review St. Davids South Hospital, because I have been recovering from the incompetence of the attending St. Davids ER doctor. In March 2023, the same day as my last chemo treatment for lung cancer, I was admitted to St. Davids South, for very high blood pressure. The attending doctor ordered meds that brought my blood pressure down but wasn't concerned that it might drop like a led balloon, which it did, when I went home. Once home, my blood pressure fell so low that I ended up falling and splitt... read more

Outstanding hospital and staff. My wife had spinal surgery September 2025 performed by the world renowned Dr. Poelstra. The surgery went very well and my wife is now well on the road to recovery. During our 3 day stay on the fifth floor, my wife received outstanding care from a professional and compassionate health care team. Her benignant physical therapists were instructive facilitating her quick recovery. A special shout out to our exceptional nurses ; Natalie, Jacqueline, Hannah and Jill. Thank You So Much, Ron and Jodi ... read more

My friend was taken back home by ambulance after her stay at the hospital. She was not able to put herself to bed nor get up and feed herself. I called her caseworker for her in her presence. The case worker said  she already told the patient there was nothing they could do once they are released from the hospital. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Her caseworker hung up on me.

Northside Hospital at St. Petersburg, Fl. 33709 is the worse I see. I went to the emergency room to check my injured that I had and that was between 4pm to 5pm and I didn't have to sign in the computer at front. The nurse told me to wait and I wait. Then he came to me to supposedly check the injurer, and he took me to a room; I showed to him my belly, which a dog bit me. He asked me some questions about the rabies of the dog; I told him that she has the rabies on time. What he did is told me to use an oatmeal cream for the i... read more

Dr. Forest Harrison is an excellent doctor. If I could have him as my PC doctor I'd be satisfied with his expertise and great bedside manners. Fast to diagnose and treat. Total of an hour an a half to order labs , have them read. Ordered ultrasound and read. After hours ~ perfect work , couldn't ask for a better ER doctor! And his care team nurse's are wonderful as well! Thank all of you. Went in for a rattlesnake bite (11 day's later an they care team still was prompt to all my care) also got a tetanus shot ~ thank you guy... read more

I CANNOT give this location more than 3 stars. Their staff is not up to standard compared to other hospitals in the area.
