PERFECTION – I absolutely love this place! I am extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food and i'd like to think i'm an expert because, well....I'M MEXICAN! My mom had me spoiled with her godly cooking techniques, but this place makes me feel right at home when I need that taste of home. SERVICE: WARM, INVITING, AND SEXY! Not an upgrade – After nearly 2 years away from the Rocking Horse, I returned with friends for dinner after watching the Jets knock themselves out of the playoffs. I don't know when they remodeled, but that turned out to be the least of the changes. The food was not up to par from my recollection. As a matter of fact, two of the three of us wound up feeling ill within an hour of completing our meal. VERY disappointed. I used to adore this place, it had long been a go to in the neighborhood.
Excellent Service/Terrific Food – I went here for restaurant week and it was GREAT! The service was top notch. The bartender mixed a tasty drink (pint size margharita, no skimping on the tequila). All the tables were full, but the waiter was always on his game and never appeared to be in the weeds. The food was tasty with just the right amount of spice.
Best Mexican in NYC – Rocking Horse Cafe is my favorite Mexican restaurant in NYC and by far the best restaurant in Chelsea. The ambiance is great and the staff is the most warm and welcoming you will find in this city. The food is always delicious and the servers are very attentive. Rocking Horse also offers daily specials which keep the menu vibrant and exciting. Also, the drinks are amazing! You must try the frozen margaritas; they are the best in town! Seriously, you must check out this great Mexican Restaurant!!!

Always a great choice – This is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. It's cute, the food is a little more gourmet than your typical Mexican, and the duck crepes are one of the best dishes anywhere in the city. Great for takeout too. I highly recommend it!
Worst delivery wait – Do not ever make a delivery order here. I've been waiting for an hour and a half and my food is still not here. I live in Chelsea
Wow...Wow...Wow Great food and drinks – This place is soooooo good. Drinks are wonderful, I got the frozen mango margarita and loved it. The food is mexican elegance, the combinations are excellent. It is very small so if you dont like sitting very close to your nearby diners, dont go.
perfect for special occasions – YUM YUM YUM. Had a delicious meal here for my best friend's graduation. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to end. The menu was very thoughtful and the food very very good. The service was also very attentive, but not the in "Hows everything going over here?" every two minuets kind of way. The wait staff was knowledgeable and able to tell us a lot about the menu. I would recommend this place for a special occasion because it is pricey.
