I underwent kidney stone surgery with Dr. Weinstein. He informed me of a procedure where a scope goes through your urethra and once the stone is found it is broken up and you are given a stent. He told me the procedure was safe and minimally invasive with no cutting. The only risk he mentioned was infection, which was not likely as I am a young healthy male. I have been seeing Dr Weinstein for past 13 years. He explains what he is going to do and why he is taking this approach.Another plus is that most of the time ,I understand his explanations. The office is run very efficently with appointments taken on or near scheduled time.

What a fantastic experience it is to go to this office, more doctors should practice medicine like this. Dr. Weinstein, in addition to being a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor, always runs on time. I had a 4:20 appointment the other day and was back in my car by 4:37! He takes the time *in advance of the appointment* to read the chart and any results so he arrives in the examination room prepared. How many doctors do you see reading the chart for the first time in the hallway outside the exam room? He does his homework... read more

Dr Weinstein doesn't rush through appointments, willing to answer any and all questions to make sure I understand. He has a calm, friendly approach which is reassuring and I have confidence in his approach to treating me. His staff are polite and professional. Easy locations.

Dr Weinstein is a caring dedicated Doctor. I have been going to him for several years and feel very secure that he is my physician.

Rushes in & out of the room. "Is this how you always flare up?" After years of IC, I've had at least 50 different flares. Then the constant references to Behavior Modification - why? No explanation. And weight has NOTHING to do with Interstitial Cystitis, but he judges women as a man and not as a doctor. Never mind that my Fibromyalgia, Hypothyroidism & IBS don't promote weight loss. I'm also pushing 50 in menopause & constantly in pain/discomfort. I do my best. Focus on THAT & not the scale!

Dr. Robert Weinstein, is truly an amazing urologist and surgeon. He makes sure to take the time to explain any and all risks, he is empathetic to quickly address any and all concerns. He has a humility about him that enables him to be completely honest about what is is capable of doing and can guide you elsewhere should he feel that would be a better choice. Most importantly,he did surgically, what was right not what would be quick now I am 100% cancer free. Grateful for my life. Thank you, Rob

After being in intense pain for 3 days before seeing my DR. I was then referred to Urological Associates to determine cause. I was not satisfied with my experience. Above all, I was not examined by the doctor. He asked questions and that was the end. When I would ask questions, he came off rude. Bottom line, I left there after a 5 min. "meeting" with no examination and no known cause of what my intense pain is about or fever. Kidney stones??, what is my dx? Will not be going back. Disappointed

With the state of medical care hanging in the balance, you never know what to expect when seeking treatment. Dr Weinstein and his Trumbull office are the standard by which all care should be measured. He is extreamly knowledgeable in his field and especially good at discussing your ailments and offering options as well as recommendations for your treatment. Felling unrushed and fully informed puts you in a good position to make sound decisions about your care. Dr. Weinstein is a rare find.
