Having my hip replacement surgery by Dr. McKinstry was life-changing. He and his team took excellent care of me not only the day of surgery, but also on the days that followed. Paige Strickland, his PA was easily accessible and expertly guided me through pain management. I’m very grateful for the care I received.
This was my 2nd hip replacement, and the difference was day and night in terms of post op recovery. My 1st one was 14 yrs ago - with 2 nights in hospital, a week of home health (RN PT) , sleeping on the 1 st floor (no stairs for a week) , and 8 weeks of PT. This one was done outpatient, went up the stairs on the first day, and no PT - just walking! In the house, I was on walker for 10 days, a cane for 3or 4 days, and then no cane inside the house.
