Dr. Steckler removed a melanoma from my back in 1992. In 1994 it recurred and metastasized. I had moved to another state at that time and had questions regarding my care. I called Dr. Steckler for his advice and I feel what he told me saved me. I appreciated his directness and will forever be grateful for him.
Saved my life twice in 1987 and once in 1999
Dr. Steckler performed a parotidectomy to remove an acinic cell carcinoma in December 2016. Another physician previously misdiagnosed my condition, which allowed the tumor to grow and subsequently complicated my surgery. Dr Steckler did an exceptional job. My recovery went well, and my scarring has been minimal. Since then, he has provided thorough, compassionate care to monitor the surgical site as well as to look for recurrence. He is a splendid surgeon and kind healer.
Dr. Steckler has done a fine job for me. He is competent, courteous and spends as much time as needed to be sure I understand the status of my health. I think of him as a friend.

He did not wear a mask while examining my mouth. He is dismissive of Covid and the dangers it poses. I’m looking for another doctor for my follow-up visits.

If you want a doctor to smooth your feathers and lie to you, get another doctor. If you want to get well take advantage of his vast experience, ask questions and listen. I was in stage 4 cancer and followed his instructions exactly. It's not a comfortable place to be. But he saved my life. Thank you, Doctor Steckler.
