I was treated by doctor Gelles years ago for heal spurs. I hurt my foot months ago and has to look him up. He did a great job on toe joint replacement.
I had such bad foot pain that I could barely walk. DR. Gelles diagnosed me with planters facetious and over the course of several visits gave me a shot to relieve the pain and got me walking again, he perscibed exercise and orthotics to keep the pain from coming back. He was patient and kind, he listened to me and now I am 100% pain free. I continue to see him and have had a second pair of orthotics made by him. I would highly recommend Dr. Gelles.
I saw Dr. Gelles for searing pain in the ball of my foot. My family doctor told me I had arthritis. Dr. Gelles quickly diagnosed a neuroma, then treated me with cortisone injections and orthotics. I was able to resume my exercise program and I feel like a new woman! Dr. Gelles was friendly and compassionate. He really knows his business.
My dad was assigned Dr. Gelles during his in-patient stay at Palos Hospital. It took nearly two weeks for him to finally take action and realize my dad had cellulitis in his foot which caused several complications. Upon follow-up visits we were met with rudeness and lack of understanding. My dad has a cognitive delay and I am his health advocate. Dr. Gelles refused to speak to me and only to my dad. My family has heredity bunions and have been going to Dr. Gelles for 20+ years. Love him! He is so caring and gentle. He really knows what he’s doing and appt wait times are short. Highly recommend!!
Great Doc!
My daughter had a stress fracture in her right foot. It was causing her a lot of pain and we were able to get an appointment with Dr. Gelles the next day. She had to drive up from U of I so we were very happy to be seen so soon. Dr. Gelles sent us over to the hospital for some tests and put her in a boot for 6 weeks.
Dr. Gelles performed a thorough examination and recommended and measured my feet for orthotics to place inside my shoes. They solved my problem of foot pain. Dr. Gelles is the best!
Dr. Gelles diagnosed my foot problem efficiently and really listened to what I had to say. He helped me make a treatment decision based on my lifestyle. I have since sent friends and family to him!
