I have a history of Crohnes. Dr. Wohlman has performed approximately 20 colonoscopies on me without any problems or serious discomfort, and I've chosen to have the last three done without anesthesia. My last flare-up, 20 years ago, put me in the hospital for two weeks with TPN (Total Peripheral Nutrition, I was fed through a needle in my arm for two weeks). BE WARNED: Bad at diagnosing the problem, overprescribes med, poorly managed office, won't release test results
I was surprised to see the comments that Dr Wohlman is experiencing burnout. I have seen him for 20+ years and he remains thorough and professional in my opinion. I have colitis and he has done annual colonoscopies on me and I have never had a problem. He always is looking for new ways to help me manage my condition and willing to answer all my questions.
Extremely arrogant and rude. I have a rare condition. Everything he recommended was contrart to current evidence based practices.I saw hom years ago and he was very different. He needs to retire.
While he may know his area, he is clearly experiencing burnout. He doesn't listen to what is being said by the patient. He will just go through his checklist to find the problem.
