Four years ago I experienced a rather alarming heart rhythm issue and ended up in the ER at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. I met Dr. Ruelaz when the cardiac guys at Hollywood Pres referred me to him at that time. This was a new medical issue for me, and was really concerning, especially at first. I met Dr Ruelaz 8 years ago at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center - i had come in with a very scary heart situation and he was volunteering that night as an on-call Cardiologist. He treated me so well and was super cool and informative. I've been seeing him ever since. I've never had the luxury of having health insurance and he's always been so affordable and has given me the same great care regardless. I have to say I have the up most respect for Dr. Ruleaz he has been in my life for almost 4 years now. A few months after I received my ICD I had a blood clots and they wanted to remove my device as he was actually on vacation he call the hospital and spoke with the doctor and also called me to reassure me on some issues I had to respect that completely. He knows what he is talking about and put pride in doing his job!!!!
