Having some right knee discomfort after X-rays and check up glad to find some arthritis secondary to a miscues tear /repair from the late 70’s. Dr Berghoff and PA were great.
Dr Berghoff did my knee replacement 5yrs ago and it’s been great no issues with it I play senior softball 4 games a week and the knee is great I was just in to see him for a hip problem l though I had But after X-ray he said it was a muscular issue maybe just a pulled muscle I am all ready doing better with at home exercises 5 stars The staff is very professional and helpful
Dr. Berghoff and his medical team takes the time to truly listen to their patients concerns before developing a plan of action to address the problem. It is a collaborative effort where the patient is valued with the doctor welcoming such interactions. The default position was not to do surgery but to consider the array of options which may in the end result in surgery. That was the case with me in addressing my knee issues. Dr. Berghoff is a fabulous physician. He takes just the right amount of time to assess a problem and recommend a solution. He is appropriately not eager to recommend tests, treatments, surgery that might not help. The office staff are efficient and organized.
Dr. Berghoff did not prepare for my appointment and did not review my prior MRI results even though I sent them in advance of my first appointment after moving to Phoenix. He also did not recommend new imaging (neither MRI nor X-ray) despite my explanation of ongoing pain. His diagnosis on a referral for physical therapy was not discussed with me and was different than what my previous orthopedic surgeon had identified by MRI and contradictory to what was visualized by previous imaging. This was my first visit with Dr. Berghoff. I found him very knowledgeable, friendly, and clear with his comments about my hip condition and future steps. My husband and I felt very positive about this visit and comfortable with Dr. Berghoff.
I have recommended Dr Berghoff to my friends and family. His diagnostic ability was right on as was the subsequent imaging. Treatment followed immediately. Well done!
