It operated as a boarding facility until 1984, when Dr. Arthur Serwitz purchased and renovated it to accommodate a veterinary clinic, the Riverview Animal Clinic. Over the years, the facility has undergone several small renovations and two major additions. The staff was very helpful. They saw me on short notice, and the doctor stayed late to help me. I was very grateful for the awesome service.They made a stressful situation much easier.
My daughter's hamster died of a reproductive tumor that ruptured. The way the staff handled our pets passing was the most compassionate I have ever experienced.
Just moved to Birmingham from Florida for work its been 45 days since been here because of moving expense unable to do checkup immediately. Politely asked Vet if I was able to buy 1 mo of heart worm Medication at the time till I could financially bring them in for a full checkup and purchase the year or just have heart worm test so I could buy 6 mo supply. Excellent customer service! The entire team shows a love and compassion for all animals; we have never felt more confident with the health services of our animals than the day we walked in to Riverview Animal Clinic! Dr Serwitz and Dr Atlas are AMAZING! The entire staff takes the time to educate you rather than rush through your appointment. I've been taking my dogs to Riverview for years and never have had one bad visit. The groomer has always done a fabulous job!
