This is my experience with Optum Health at Mission Hills in the "Valley" / Los Angeles". Optum Health receptionist and the professionals who work here expect you to be your own world-class doctor. They also expect you to do only blood-work-related tests so the hospital makes easy and free money off you without having to do real work so they can go ahead and defer/delegate the task for the facility down the street to do in their stead. This is my second of two reviews. Dr. Catherine Marks is the best primary care physician one could ever ask for. She's very knowledgeable, thorough and has a kind heart and soul. She's very popular among Hispanic and Arabic folks.
She's a very busy doctor with a staff who can use a little bit of customer service training and respect for people's time. 11 a.m. means 11 a.m. It doesn't mean 2 pm. I came to visit on a Tuesday and ended up having to come back 4 consecutive days before getting a subpar. medical evaluation. This was 2 weeks after going through a stroke last month. Dr. Catherine Marks is a great doctor with an incompetent office staff. Sadly. And she probably isn't even aware. I've waited 3 hours to see her but had to come back 4 days in a row, got "lucky" finally. Wow. And I just had a stroke! I'm looking for a better-organized office. I had to physically get my own medical records and brought them to the ladies out front. Both my husband and I saw Dr. Vigo. He was extremely professional addressed our considers, explained what we each had. Dr Vigo set a plan in place, explained what pres he was prescribing. He was Patience and caring.
The waiting time is a lot and the costumer service is very bad they All have attitudes they won’t then listen to what I’m saying one of them also hanged up on me, didn’t even listen to what I was saying
Dr Chu is an excellent doctor. She is patient, thorough, and does everything possible to make you feel comfortable, even in the most uncomfortable of situations. John P.
