came in for lunch today as a good friend who's a professional chef in town had recommended it. we were looking for a table when a waitress clearly pointed at my girlfriend with dreadlocks and clearly said to her table "I'll bet they're druggies in town for the music festival this weekend" Not only are we decent people who deserve respect, we also work in food service and can't fathom why a server would clearly talk about a table of 7 that was ready to spend money at their establishment.

Great place for wonderful “greasy” food. Cheeseburger, onion rings, fries, everything is wonderful. Have been eating there for years. Great waitresses also.

Our son graduated from UVA yesterday and today we all we to to Riverside Lunch before packing up his dorm and heading back to Northern VA. I teared up a bit when I realized I may never eat there again. Surely our son will return to Cvillle, but it's not likely my husband and I will spend much time there. More than the terrific food and the very reasonable prices, I will miss the warm smiles and sense of humor of the wait staff who always made us feel at home.
