We went for what we thought would be an amazing night for our anniversary. My husband is in wheelchair and we were told That we would have a handicap room. Upon making reservations, they told us there were no refunds. We arrived after a 3 hour drive to find out they gave us a room with a spiral staircase.... wheelchairs don’t go up spiral staircases. We then went down to desk and they said no handicap rooms were available. They then gave us this room which was beyond disgusting. Filthy, old, moldy and more. The door has neve... read more

We love the breakfast/brunch. We have been four times this summer. Always fabulous!
Nice room and great view. Easy walk into the village to shop and eat. Disappointed when we booked the room based on the website pictures we were to have a river and outdoor pool view. We got the river view buuuut they no longer have an outdoor pool. This was something we wanted to do. Sit and relax poolside. The young lady never mentioned they no longer had a pool! Think this would have been nice seeing as we mentioned it when calling.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The rooms are so nice, and the views are breathtaking! On site restaurants are not only convenient, but the food is delicious. We can't wait to go back, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
haven't been to Alex Bay in 30 to 35 years stayed at The river's edge still a good place to go but could use a remodel clean good service but really should be updated
Awesome night, I picked the opposite side of the hotel in error, Adam graciously moved us to a room with a view of the castle.. we have stayed here numerous times and it's our go to place in the Thousand Islands
