Never Again!!! – I find it interesting that after so many negative reviews of this place that there seems to be an outpour of positive ones that seemed to have flogged in...wonder if that is because this place needs people they know to give them 5 starts in order help their reputation before they go out of business. How can you rate something you have never been to? – I am amazed at the people here who haven't even had an appointment and write a negative review. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Worth a drive out of the city for better service – Unfortunately, i've had the same experience as several other users. i stopped at the Rittenhouse Vet once i moved into the city, hoping to find SOMEONE who would take a new patient. My pet has a chronic condition that requires monthy shots, daily medicines, and relatively frequent tests. Apparently there is a tremendous shortage on Vets in the city. Rude Front Desk – When I adopted a new puppy, I called this vet as they were recommended by a pet-owner at a puppy park.. Unfortunately, I was greeted with the snobby response of "We are not taking new patients, and even if we did, you could not get in here until July." When I asked for further recommendations of where to go, since we are new to Philadelphia, the less-than-helpful receptionist snidely advised that the phone book listed over 20 vets in Philadelphia. Wonderful, caring vet...fun window displays too – I am so lucky to live just a 1/2 block from Dr. Soli, even if I did not I would make a special trip to go and see him. He obviously loves animals and gives helpful & caring advice. Before this year I only took my cat to Dr. Soli for routine yearly visits, although there was one anxious visit when she was not eating for awhile, I called first thing on Saturday morning and his staff fit me in that day for a visit. CAUTIONARY TALE. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT – Up until recenlty I have had nothing but great things to say about Dr. Solli.My cat and I have been seeing him for the past 2years. Dr. Soli pointed out that my cats teeth were not in the best condition(he spent 3 years in shelter and prior to that was abused and neglcted).I asked what I could do about this and he said somewhere down the road he may need a cleaning. Terrific vet – Dr. Soli has been our vet for almost 8 years and I wouldn't want to take our dog anywhere else. My father was a vet and I know a fair amount about animal care. I'm always 100% happy with his clinical acumen. Plus, he's very caring. We actually look forward to visits. I have not had a problem with the office staff. They are not overly friendly but they are competent and professional. I can see why someone might not be happy with them, but please don't confuse the vet with the staff.
five paws & a snap of the tail -- fantastic – Overall I cannot imagine a better Veterinarian. Dr. Soli is the platonic ideal and all other vets merely a reflection of his perfection. Dr. Soli and his staff are remarkable people who care about their clients -- four legged and us bipeds. I have two cairn terriers and I can't imagine taking my boys anywhere else. There is no other vet for me! – Dr. Justin & his staff are the best - I adore them. They are very caring, and always take the time to make me feel comfortable about my pet's health. He is also very, very skilled and bright about medical issues - I never doubt he is giving great advice. I moved to Jersey and tried going elsewhere - but there is no comparisson.
