We had to wait at the window for 5 minutes after a 30 minute wait in line because what had looked like a owner didn’t want to help us and made the girl that was clocking out to take us
This back to back has made my horrible day, a wonderful one. Derrick who works there is the reason I go back. He is one of the kindest most happy people I have ever met and always is so happy to make you a wonderful treat. Say hello and I promise you will leave with a smile on your face.
Seriously the nicest people in the entire world running this stand. Phenomenal service and conversation, great water ice(even tho we call it Italian ice in Chicago). But above everything else, shortly after I received my order, I witnessed a homeless appearing man digging through their garbage can. The workers came out with a large ice, water, and a soft pretzel for him. These people deserve everything. I will be back.
