The food SUCKS and the filler they use in the margaritas tastes like it came straight from a Tijuana Toilet! Been going there since her little place on Wabash and am sad to see her quality be reduced so much. I guess the more she grew the farther away from quality her products did too! Ritas is a nice clean place. The food is good. The specials are solid and the staff has been a joy to work with. Make sure to ask for their specials, they have a lot of them.
Rita's used to be the best mexican restaurant in the area...great food, great service...not any more! My husband and I were 'regulars' but no more. There are mexican restaurants in the area that have food just as good as Rita's and the service is much better...which doesn't take much. At Rita's, there can be 5 people standing around, avoiding eye contact so they don't have to wait on us. It took 10 minutes to get a pint of beer and another, at least 10mins to get a margarita.
