Rio de gelato is such a cool find. Alfredo Pisano and son Richard are wonderful hosts and cook up a mean pizza and dessert. For now bring your own wine and beer but he will be getting his beer and wine permit soon. We enjoyed everything about the place. Try it you'll love it

As soon as I walked through the door, I instantly fell in love. I only ordered a Cannoli and Chai latte. I'm not from the area but I will definitely come back!!
We were walking by yesterday morning (waaay before opening time) when Alfredo hollered from across the street to please join him for a cup of espresso. We did. He was delightful and kind and the espresso was just what we needed for a day on the River Walk. Alfredo refused payment saying he had invited us. Thank you, Alfredo. Hope we can repay your kindness should you ever come to Calhoun, GA!!!
