We visited twice so far while on vacation here in San Antonio. Great service and yummy treats!!!! The family that owns and operates is very nice too😁
I went last weekend and they were closed. That’s twice they were closed when they should’ve been opened. The last two times I visited they weren’t even open, even though google says they should be. The last time I actually visited, we bought two gelatos and a pizza and it was overpriced like $40-$50. And the service was rude when I questioned it. I used to love and recommend this place but I find gelato elsewhere now when I visit San Antonio.
We hosted a wedding welcome dinner at Rio de gelato in April. Pizza was great, salad - very fresh and dessert - awesome. Alfredo, Rosemary and their entire staff were very welcoming and helpful. They made it easy to put this dinner together from North Carolina. Thank-you.
I went on my lunch break. Mr.Alfredo made me feel like I was in Italy for a moment. Everything is made fresh and was delicious. I’ll definitely be bringing my family here next time around.
One of the best handmade pizzas ever! We were volunteering for NIOSA and took a break for a quick bite I have seen for the past several years and this time we stopped by. We finished the whole thing. Will definitely stop by again

Very good pizza. I happened to catch Alfredo the owner giving some customers their pizza at their table and he was just as friendly as could be. The atmosphere is nice and the sites are great too. It was a great ending to our family night out.
