I had a very disappointing experience with Riley Heat & Air due to a complete lack of transparency around pricing. The technician gave us a verbal estimate before starting the work, but when he handed us the final invoice, the amount was noticeably higher. When I questioned the discrepancy, he told us the company doesn’t provide a list of official prices and that he could essentially charge what he saw fit. Riley Heat and Air came out within a couple hours when my AC went out last week. Was informed and professional, He soon got the frigid air flowing again. They also provide an annual plan with discounts! Riley Heat and Air, thank you! Strongly suggested for excellent quality, affordable prices, and prompt service!
I usually only post a review if it's positive. Things happen and even with businesses, nothing is perfect so I try to give some grace but this has been ridiculous. Since November, they have had to come out twice. The last time was Jan 18th, 24 (note that their warrany on service means nothing. They will still charge you a fee. Red flag I should have heeded). I would do anything you possibly can to avoid hiring this company. This company is extremely unprofessional bordering on being scammers. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I contacted Riley in April when my air conditioning unit had failed. I requested both a cost estimate to repair the unit and a cost estimate to replace it. Instead, the servicer Adonis implemented an expensive repair ($1300) without telling me the cost in advance, which I never would have agreed to if I'd known what it was, given the age of my system.... read more
