Horrible experience. Before becoming a patient they first required an initial visit to take a look at my teeth, take measurements,and x-rays. This visit took 1 1/2 hrs and caused me to be late to work. I then came back a few weeks later because they said I had 3 cavities that needed filled (I regularly visit the dentist every 6 months previous dentist was not concerned at all by these teeth) I decided to go ahead and take care of the cavities due to the extremely low cost $100 for all 3. I like Dr. Rifkind and all his staff except the older, red haired lady named Lora at the front desk. She is rude to patients. She is also bossy and mean to the other employees. I have observed this from the lobby. She obtained bad information from my insurance company which cost me ALOT of extra money when my treatment was done. I am not sure if I will return to the office in the future.

Dr. Rifkind got me in on an emergency basis when I lost a filling from a previous root canal. He painlessly removed the remaining filling material, replaced the filling and did the crown. I have gone to him ever since. He has done a couple extractions and fillings since my initial visit as well as my regular cleanings. I live in the Geist area and I obviously feel that it is worth the drive.

Dr. Rifkind has done all my dental work for the past decade. He does a painless job and is on time. The staff is wonderful. There are some cheaper dentists in the area for cash patients but their offices look a bit low-cost and their staff wasn't as friendly.

I recently had some work done with dr. Joel rifkind. I am just starting to recover from the treatment two months later. I found out that after seeing my doctor, that the tools that were inside my mouth contained harmful bacteria. I was sick for several weeks and was unable to eat. In all my years of going to a dentist, I have never encountered this kind of painful mess. At my age, I do not need this! Dr. Riflind is great at what does and does the best work I have ever had done! I would send my best friends to him!

I think every procedure he did on me turned out to be a failure. He even did extractions without follow-up implants. In fact the extractions were done without any advisement at all. He ground down healthy teeth when they didn't match his opposing crown. His prosthetic crowns got infected and a cap on a root canal finally broke after falling off once. I was a patient for years. i found that when i went in, no matter what, I had to wait at least 45 minutes. Then they always tried to get me to have more work done than I needed. Also, the last time I was in there, they quoted me a price for an extraction and I paid the quoted price. After that, they started sending me bills for additional money. They reported me to the credit bureau when I refused to pay what I didn't owe! They must be in hard financial times, if they need $60 that bad!

I have been a patient of Dr. Rifkind's for the last twelve years and I have always found both he and his staff to be professional and friendly. I highly recommend.
