Rider Shack has been great every time I’ve been in. They just hooked me up with my first short board as I felt I was ready to transition from a 7 foot foamy. They set me up with a 6’2 Sharp Eye Modern 2. I was concerned that it was a bit shorter than I wanted to go for my first board but they assured me that it had high volume for a 6’2 and for my skill level it would be great even though there’d be a little learning just as there be with any long to short transition. Super friendly and helpful staff, great board selection, good vibes. I needed to find a board to bring on a surf trip to Fiji during a layover in LAX and was easily able to take the public bus and a short walk to the shop. I arrived on a mission, in a bit of a frenzy. The guys patiently and thoroughly helped me find the perfect match. I left the shop completely stoked, dream board in arm and big smile on my face.
