I've had three surgeries done at different locations throughout the year. Riddle is by fary favorite. The staff (I mostly talked with the nurses) in the outpatient short procedure unit were the friendliest and most knowledgeable nurses I've experienced by far. They made a stressful surgery relaxed and as "enjoyable" as a surgery can be.
This hospital is atrocious!!! The emergency room takes hours and the attendants at the front desk couldn't care less. Totally sucks. I spent 3 hours at Riddle, left and went straight to Urgent Care. Got X-ray, diagnosed and treatment plan all within 45 minutes. Riddle SUCKS
Still no resolution on my complaint. Your "patient Advocate" should change her title to staff apologist. The only time in my life that I ever left a facility AMA.
They charged my insurance company $5000 for an MRI. Which put my coinsurance at over $500. My MRA was close to that as well, which makes another $300. That's over $800, which is more than a weeks worth of my pay. The average cost for an MRI is $2611. That's just disgusting. Recently, the Inquirer did a piece on hospitals that balloon their costs artificially. Our area is a chronic offender. Guess which hospital was one of the biggest offenders. Never again.

The new Emergency room is great. They triage you and evaluate you quick. Foe less serious issues, you're in and out in about 2hrs.
Awesome staff and very dedicated to the well being of each patient.
Excellent Neurology Dept. Led by Dr. Thomas. Diagnosed my trigeminal neuralgia immediately. Excellent nurses who go out of their way to educate you and take good care of you.
