Am getting ready for my 3rd colonoscopy over a period of years per insurance guidelines with Dr Richards. She is respectful and answers my questions, I a grateful for her expertise and professionalism.
Dr Richards has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever been to! She is patient and she spends more time than most doctors explaining things.
Dr. Richards and the staff are competent and compassionate. We are fortunate to have the clinic in Cottonwood. I am a patient, and I recommend!
She listens, is thoughtful and conservative in recommendations. I had both and endo and a colonoscopy and she was thoroughly professional and I heartily recommend her in a world where doctors don't have the time to listen.
I felt like she didn’t take the time to listen to me properly and ended up giving me unnecessary treatments such as a colonoscopy. She was arrogant and could’ve actually helped if she listened. I eventually went to another professional who gave me the proper tests and found the problem. This took place six years ago.

This lady should not be practicing medicine. Saw her for an issue and she was just horrible. Her receptionist also has a stink attitude. Had my husband and I waiting for 2 hours while she joked with staff outside. When she finally came in she spent five minutes trying to push EGD and Colonoscopy without even listening to symptoms. VVMC you could do a lot better than her.

This Provider is fine. The staff is the issue. I had my procedures done 8/3 still waiting on results as of 8/21. It take 3 business days to get biopsy result finalized. I am so very disappointed in the fact that I know my results have been available for at least 2 weeks and the medical assistant can't go on to hospital web site and print my final pathology results. Very sad especially because my friend had same procedures done a week ago with Dr Michael Mckinney and she already has her resultsl!
She can be pretty rude. in my appointment she didnt listen to symptoms and at one point told me to read her lips i was going to take her medication which due to side effects i wasnt comfortable with. I havent received ct results or blood work results. Her staff is rude when you talk to them. I would not recommend her. My uncle and 2 people from my church have had the same experience. I left her office on tears.
Quite upset: very unprofessional doctor. Relayed various G.I. symptoms, asked about gastroparesis as a possibility, Dr. rudely said, "Oh, so now you're self-diagnosing?" Was condescending, patronizing, dismissive and rude, said nothing was wrong, implied mental problems (3x) and eating disorder and should see a therapist. Huh? Staff rude and difficult. Where does all this attitude come from! Arrogant Dr. God on a pedestal syndrome? If nothing wrong, then why prescribed meds for gastroparesis?
