Dr. Santore and his assistant Henri are WONDERFUL! Due to the complex nature of my sons hip condition we have been seen by a lot of doctors. We can vouch for the fact that Dr. Santore truly cares about the well being of his patients. After careful examination, and an ample amount of time spent with us, he determined that my son did not need the procedure we were there to consult with him about, a PAO. Dr. Santore is very knowledgeable and his receptionist is extremely helpful, but I want to extend a warning to any potential patients who are overweight — he will not treat you unless you are below a certain BMI. If you do not want to pursue weight loss for whatever reasons you might have, I recommend avoiding the steep out-of-network consult fee and seeking care elsewhere.
Both of my dysplastic hips have been replaced by Dr. Santore, one hip 20yrs ago, and the other 10 yrs.ago. I am pain - free and joyfully walk 2 miles a day, at 75 yrs old. In addition, I worked in the medical profession with this humble, honest and talented doctor, and would especially recommend him to anyone needing complicated joint evaluations or revisions. His qualifications speak for themselves, but the bonus is his integrity. .
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Santore and my entire experience with the staff! I’m 26yo and after two years of constant right hip pain and a limp following my second pregnancy I was finally diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia and referred to Dr. Santore. I’m a young woman who has had 12 orthopedic procedures in my 30 years. Dr. Santore performed my most recent procedures, including a very complex and difficult procedure called a reverse PAO. When I was active duty, I had the same surgery done (with a Maryland surgeon, NOT Dr. Santore) on my other hip and the recovery was horrifying—two weeks in the hospital, the worst pain I’ve ever experienced, permanent nerve damage, and my right hip still doesn’t have “normal” range of motion.
