Worst ever- While recovering from a shattered femur, got a cortisone inj. from Grimsley. Suddenly lost use of leg and developed cellulitis. Went back to Grim for help. Showed NO concern and kept asking, “what do you want me to do?” I was floored by such an odd question, and resorted to begging him to help me or tell me what I needed to do or who I needed to see. Had my right knee replaced in 2015 by another Dr suffered for 4 years till I met Dr Grimsley. He replaced my left knee and repaired my rt knee in Dec 2019. I have never felt better in my life to be able to walk again. I have lost 50lbs since surgery. Would recommend him to anyone needing surgery. Thanks Doc for changing my life.
He is a wonderful doctor and so compassionate about his patients.
Judges heavily on perceived value of age and wear on joints and not factual evidence of MRI's and patient history of activity. Came up with zero solutions and discounted the radiologists claim of Bursitis. JOI website lists him as having knowledge of hip, but refers to other Doctors for treatment. Unsure of what he actually can do. Sought treatment for 2 issues. Left without either area being treated, currently searching for different Doctor.

Regrettably, some medical conditions are better treated conservatively or not at all--especially those medical conditions that do not have an established surgical solution. As an orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in total joint replacement, I am dedicated to relieving pain in patients where I can, but I am not willing to perform surgery where there is no indication and where I know the patient will see no improvement.
Very knowledgeable. Very good at answering questions and explaining medical terms and procedures.
