Dr Matano diagnosed and successfyl bypassed an artery in my ankle. No pain. Just great care!
I have Always had a wonderful experience visiting Dr Matano and his office staff. Dr Matano is intelligent, professional, puts a patient at ease, informative, and respectful at all times. His staff comprises individuals who are polite, pleasant, and efficient performing their jobs. The office generates an obvious tone of comradery among the office staff, medical staff, and Dr. Matano. I strongly, and without reservation, recommend Dr. Matano if you are in need of a vascular surgeon.
Dr. Matano has horrible bedside manner. He is condescending, will berate you if you interrupt him with valid questions and mostly blames the patient for things they have ZERO control over. The billing states he performed services at his office when in reality he only removed bandaging, looked at wound/incision site and re-bandaged. Not satisfied no eye contact horrible bedside manner
The most bitter man in the medical field with absolute no remorse. I have met Dr.Matano numerous times over the years with no problems but with his increasing age he has become unapproachable. He has become very nasty and emotionless which is sad because I do remember him being caring. With his age I’m sure his retirement is near but I recommend being careful and not going to him because he is very senile and near the end of his career. DO NOT GO TO DR MATANO AT ST. i met Dr Matano when I was a patient at St Francis. He was very kind and explained what he was going to do to diagnose my condition and what he would do to correct it surgically. Both in the hospital and in his office he was patient and a gentleman. I would recommend DR Matano highly.
Dr. Montano speaks in a condescending manner and doesn’t take the time to explain any procedures. Most of the time, he sends his PA to speak to his patient. Find another doctor before you opt to go to him.
Dr. Matano recently treated me for advanced varicose veins and an incompetent valve in my left leg. In short, my leg was a mess and my foot was virtually blue. Dr. Matano's work in reversing that deterioration was nothing short of miraculous. I give him my highest recommendation. STOP-RED LIGHT ALERT. Today marks the 3rd anniversary of my left carotid artery surgery. Sorry to report that any positive changes in my condition have not improved. Judging from other patients comments (including my own) it is inconceivable to me that you are still on staff. Struggling has become the operative word in my daily routine.
