Dr. Fortunato is excellent in his work and a very caring surgeon. He operated on me for a fistula (ruptured intestine) and completely resolved my problem. He's also successfully removed several large polyps during colonoscopies with minimal discomfort. He always follows up to be sure everything is healing nicely. He always listens to my concerns and never rushes me.
Too quippy and rushed when visiting with my mother, father, and me after complicated bowel surgery on my mother. I understand he’s “the best” at colorectal surgery in the area, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a better bed-side manner and talk more slowly so your elderly mother can understand why she had such a horrific night 3 days post surgery. “Great! Your gut is working,” just doesn’t cut it. Explain and show empathy for the trials our whole family had just been through.
Dr. Fortunato is a great doctor! He has a great bedside manor. He explains problems and procedures excellently. I would recommend him and his practice to any one in need of a colorectal surgeon.
Dr. Fortunato does an amazing job explaining procedures and recovery process. He truly listen to your concerns and gives you clear instructions. He truly sees the patient as a person, has great compassion and treats the disease with confidence and assertiveness.
Dr. Fortunato saved my life! thanks to him I am here and I am cancer free!
Dr. Fortunato did an basic evaluation and short visit since he just came back from surgery providing me with instructions to hopefully alleviate my issues but didn't provide me with any medication to help the severe pain I'm in. Months later there has been some improvement but the pain is relentless. They won't say if they can give me anything to help so I have to make another appointment and it better consist of something to alleviate my pain.
I have a lot of scar tissue in my abdomen from previous surgeries and required gallbladder surgery. Dr. Fortunato was uncomfortable with performing the surgery laparoscopicly although he did try so he did the surgery invasively. The area where I have a significant mass of adhesion's I asked him to check as it gave me trouble. I consider it irresponsible to have left that mass of adhesion's particularly since now that mass is causing repeated bowel obstructions. He just left more scar tissue.
