Dr Irving has done my 2knees and my right hip. He and his team Jackie Alice Rachel Rebecka and Lindzay are great! Everyone was thorough and detailed orientated. I was told what to expect ahead of time and it happened as they said. His team at St Vincent’s is awesome —surgery staff and aftercare staff. Donald Fran Paul. No No No! Awful experience. I went to see Dr Lorenze for extreme pain in my thumb and numbness in my fingertips. My thumb could not bend at all. This was mistakenly dx'd as a thumb fracture by Yale ER and I was told to f/up with an ortho doc. Saw Dr. Lorenze who was extremely dismissive and curt. Said there was nothing he could do and that he saw no fracture. I explained that this happened after having had a radial (wrist) cath procedure for my heart a few weeks before . I suffered with Trigger Thumb on my dominant hand for a year. I am an art teacher and teach pottery etc. I teach 500 elementary students how to create pinch pots by using my thumb. It's my bread and butter. Dr. Bernstein, explained the procedures with clarity and compassion. The first shot worked a bit, the second shot worked great! I was so nervous! Dr. Girasole is awesome. I had excruciating sciatica for 9 weeks straight. The pain was unbelievable. I was confined to the bed and the life I used to live was pretty much over. Dr. Girasole recommended surgery. Another surgeon told me I "was going to be fine" and said "I want to see you back in ten weeks"! I'm SO glad I followed Dr. Girasole's advice. He performed a procedure to remove the herniated disc fragment that was impinging on my Sciatic nerve. When I woke up in post-op my pain was gone! Immediate and total relief.
This is my 3rd operation for Duputren's and it was by far the best! Even though I had been through the procedure twice before with another surgeon, Dr. Bernstein took the time to make sure I understood & was comfortable with the entire process. Dr. Bernstien's staff, the Surgical Center in Guilford and the entire experience could not have been better. I had 1 hip and both knees replaced. I would not trust anyone else. Dr.Irving gave me my lively hood and life back.
Dr. G and his staff have ALWAYS been amazingly professional, personable, compassionate, and friendly. I am not rushed though my appointment and they hear what I have to say
Dr. Bernstein is kind and professional. He took time to answer all of my questions. I could not close my hand. After the injection, the process was exactly as he had explained. I am now pain free and can close my hand with strength. Dr. Bernstein is the best!
I got the impression that my trigger finger wasn’t serious enough for his time. I met with the nurse and she demonstrated taping my finger and gave me a piece of paper explaining what trigger finger is. He was in and out in less than 3 minutes. I set up a follow up appointment and then decided he wasn’t worth my time either. Made an appointment with another doctor in group and met with her. A completely different experience.
