Receptionist who it appears also does all of the claims is disorganized and doesn't check what your insurance covers before your appointment. I have "preventative only" dental coverage and went in for a checkup and did not need anything besides a cleaning and was still billed. 1. At my appointment copies of my insurance card were made. I highly recommend Dr Scott! She is an angel who rescued my 3 tooth which other dentists recommended to be extracted or do root canal. I was in so much pain! Dr Scott not only rescued my tooth but also gave me honest advice without sending me for un necessary procedures. I completely trust her advice and medical opinion.
Moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist. Sent a message via their online form and was promptly contacted to schedule a cleaning new patient appointment. The hygienist was thorough and did a fantastic job. Dentist spent more time with me than most other cleanings I've had and explained things to me clearly. I will be back as a returning patient.
I was fired as a patient today from Rice Dental during a routine bi-annual cleaning for refusing prophylactic care such as X-Rays. Although I was well within the required 1-3 year time frame which the ADA recommends for this to be done, reported 0 issues and an exam wasn’t even conducted to determine if any issues were apparent.
