My favorite PCP to date! Aside from being such a laid-back and well-read MD, he’s quite intriguing and prolly cool as heck.
Dr. Leak listens to how you feel & works together on care. He takes his time & I never feel like a number. I feel he is very knowledgeable & very professional.
He listens and addresses your concerns. You feel he cares about you and your well being.
He seemed condescending to me. I felt as a female he did NOT care about my concerns. He actually told me I was not societies responsibility. Knowing I had been trying to get disability for 5 years. I left the office crying. The next time I walked in the building, I had a panic attack. I have switched doctors and am very happy with him.,
We have moved to Amarillo for a new job, and my wife, who has several conditions for which she takes medications, made an appointment as one will do when you come to a new town. Dr. Leak took one look at the medications she takes, and without asking more, inquiring into her conditions, looking at her records, physically escorted her from the building. Thie high-handed, demeaning treatment is nothing that should be endured by anyone. He is frankly, an appalling physician.
I would not recommend him ever to anyone, i thought he was a good doc at first, but come to find out he honestly doesn't listen to what his patient is telling him, if you are a woman he talks down/above you like you don't know what your talking about, and most definately doesn't document everything that your telling him and just says there is nothing wrong with you and or your depressed or your tests show nothing, and falsifies statements in your medical record from what was actually said.
The staff over the phone to make appointments seem kind however there is a lot of miscommunication. The wait time I've seen can drastically change from somewhere between 15 minutes to 2 hours. If you are a walk-in patient expect at least 3 hours. This doctor is extremely professional, knowledgable and will take one look at you and know what's wrong. However, he only stays somewhere between 5-15 total minutes to answer questions and diagnose you. It seems as if he's in a rush all the time
My dad & I are both his patient. We both REALLY like him because he is young & he listens & he cares & so does his staff. What more could any patient ask for? I would definitely refer Dr. Leak to my friends & family.
When they had their office on Coulter it seemed a lot better. Ever since they moved to the new building on Ross it’s impossible to reach a human being. I’ve been trying to get my medication filled for a month now. Also the last time I visited it seemed like he wanted to rush me in and out. I thought I had found the perfect dr, I guess my search continues.
