Encore requested by wife!! After having sea scallops & Rex's crab cakes, wife has demanded that I return to Rex's to get more. I didn't tell her I already had plans to return! The flavor was wonderful and the selections available give great latitude to serve a variety of menu items without getting repetitious. Rex's makes food shopping fun.
customer service is great I appreciated chef Jeff Rockow and his knowledge regarding fish and how to prepare everything on my grill at home. This market is a "sleeper" hidden near the Park Cities/Bluffview/Preston Hollow areas. You can't go wrong if you like a quality product and the service/information provided by Mr. Rockow is outstanding.
Freshest seafood in the metroplex Rex's Seafood market is by far the best when it comes to importing the freshest seafood from around the globe. I have worked in another dallas market which will go unnamed but the difference is unquestionable. The crab meat is extremly good because it has not been pasterized unlike most retail markets and the fish that comes in frozen is labeled as such so there are no lies about what is being sold, once again the same does not apply for other local markets. You can actually taste the fish! The thing I hate about most Texas seafood places is they do everything possible to disguise the taste of the fish. All I can say is Rex knows fish and he sure knows how to prepare it so you can enjoy the flavor of the freshest fish in town. Give him a try and you won't regret it!
