All the rave reviews about the Retreat mean nothing to me because of a poor decisions made by the chef on August 10,2015. My sister Connie stopped in on 8/10/15 for lunch. She has a medical issue that does not allow her to eat as easily as the average person. The waitress was very good in taking her concerns on how she needed her food prepared. I had the Utica Steak Hogie. It was wonderful. The bartender was great. I will be back.

One of the worst experiences ever. Waited 30 minutes after we were acknowledged for a simple ice tea. 30 minutes more for two salads and then she brought the soup and clams all at once. She needs to....... it was reflected in her tip.....is it really that hard to be a server????

We ordered the potato skins and spinach artichoke dip as well as side salads. Both of the appetizers were incredibly bland, the chips were bagged, store bought chips and not even good quality. The salads were just cheap iceburg and we were served the hard white hearts which were starting to turn. We definitely won't be coming back.
