Really disappointed with my experience at the Retina Institute of Virginia and Dr. Tobassian. I had laser surgery at the beginning of 2020. The procedure went well. However, when it was time for my follow-up appointment, I received a call from the office telling me that my appointment was going to be canceled due to COVID. I did not hear from the office for many months following this message. I recommend the Institute for the doctor and most of the staff, but they gave us an extremely difficult time about me wanting to stay with her due to Covid. my mom has Alzheimer's and doesn't even realize what is wrong with her. I saw other elderly people having a very hard time and barely able to manage on their own. I understand completely that they want to be extra cautious during this pandemic, but elderly patients need to have their loved ones with them to help them understand what is going on with their care.
Very helpful and patient with my 82 year old mom. I really appreciate their help during this time!
RIV is my home away from home. Dr. O'Keefe and staff have been very kind and accommodating over the years. I really like the new converged offices so I don't have to guess which suite my appointment is in anymore. Thank you to everyone at RIV so that I can still see.
Dr. Tabassian is AMAZING. The entire staff was kind and professional...they made a difficult situation easy and comfortable. Thank you for saving my eyesight!
